Stephen heads up the HCB Litigation Department. He has extensive experience in Insolvency Litigation, being the Official Receiver for Queensland for seven years prior to being admitted to the private bar. Stephen became a Solicitor in 1995 and has been with HCB since December 1995, practising in all spheres of litigation.

During his period as a Barrister he also lectured in legal subjects at the Queensland University of Technology both at under-graduate and post-graduate level.

Stephen also holds Accounting qualifications and has had 18 years experience with the Insolvency and Trustee Service, Australia. Whilst a Barrister he specialised in Insolvency Law. He is recognised as one of the leading insolvency practitioners in Australia and has been involved in bankruptcies and corporate insolvencies of considerable complexity and magnitude.

Stephen has been involved in many matters before the Federal Court and Federal Magistrates Court of Australia, the Family Court of Australia and the various court jurisdictions of Queensland particularly the Supreme Court.
